Digital Management of International Supply Chains
The Corona crisis and the Ukraine war have triggered a rethink among many companies. Flexibility, stability and efficiency as building blocks for uncertain times are now increasingly taken into account in planning. Regardless of the size of the company, there is a trend away from linear, unilateral business relationships (the classic “supply chain“) towards dynamic, fail-safe and stable supply networks. InstaWerk’s international supplier network for turned and milled parts is a building block for reconciling efficiency and resilience.
In order to be able to handle the complexity of an international network with over 3,000 CNC machining centres, an efficient management of processes and suppliers is necessary. This is the only way to ensure quality, delivery reliability and customer orientation in the long term. That is why we at InstaWerk continuously invest in our software. Some new functions are immediately visible in the front end. However, many development scopes initially require invisible action and development in the background.
International shipping for turned and milled parts
In the last few months, things have been a little quieter as far as new functions are concerned. Now we can proudly announce that we have expanded our software and processes for the international shipping of turned and milled parts. This means that the cost advantage of digital procurement solutions can also be used by customers outside Germany.
Customers from all over the world can now conveniently calculate their CNC components online and order them immediately. The new interface calculates the most cost-effective shipping option and displays it directly in the order overview. Customers from Austria and Switzerland in particular already use InstaWerk intensively. For them, ordering will now be even easier and faster. In addition, InstaWerk is now available to customers from the following countries:
- Andora
